Beginning on January 1st, 2017, PSEGLI will be offering FREE home energy efficiency assessments to all homeowners within the PSEGLI territory. The home energy efficiency assessments will include:
- Evaluation of your heating and hot water system including:
- Measurement of current operational efficiency
- Carbon Monoxide Safety Test
- Draft Test
- Infrared (IR) camera analysis
- Solar evaluation and assessment
- Evaluation of programs that may be able to pay for some or, in certain cases, all of the recommended work
The home assessment takes approximately two hours to complete. Another hour is required for our BPI-Certified Home Auditors to produce our report which explains your home's current energy efficiency status, offers recommendations on work that can be performed to increase the home's energy efficiency and an estimate of the savings that could be realized if the improvements were made.
When the assessment is completed you will have a better understanding of your home along with an action plan of next steps should you want to move forward.
